The Metropolitan Police Service (ロンドン警視庁 Rondon Keishichō) or MPS, informally known as Scotland Yard (スコットランド・ヤード Sukottorando Yādo), is the territorial police force responsible for law enforcement and crime prevention within Greater London in England.

The Metropolitan Police Service is headquartered at New Scotland Yard in the structure formerly known as the Curtis Green Building. Male officers of the organization commonly wear uniforms consisting of a peaked cap, white shirt, black necktie, and a police sweater. Nevertheless, both male and female officers have been seen wearing other clothing such as suits and long coats.

During his investigation of the financial dealings between Cosa Nostra and the London-based bullion trader Zamid Dhiyab, the Met detective Sammy learned about Zamid's mysterious death which occurred during a cruise trip off the coast of Malta. Finding out about the existence of a money laundering account that Zamid used to launder money for Cosa Nostra, he also discovered that Zamid's mistress tried to pilfer the account's assets but did not succeed since she was arrested. At the same time, Cosa Nostra gangsters discovered Sammy's cover when he was in Thailand, capturing and torturing him for information. At the Roanapur docks, Sammy had his hands tied behind his back while he stood in a solid box with liquid concrete being poured in. As one of the Italians put a gun to Sammy's head, Ronnie the Jaws learned from Camillo that Sammy was affiliated with Scotland Yard, surprising him.

Pleading with Ronnie, Sammy admitted that he messed up with the title deed but assured him that he did not go to the police about the news and would not do so. Suddenly, Ronnie pinched Sammy's nose closed and ordered him to shut up. At that point, the concrete began to finish drying, and the Italian gangsters hoisted the detective with a crane so that they could sink him into the sea. As he was lowered into the water, Sammy could not believe that Ronnie was actually going to kill him. He wriggled and again pleaded with Ronnie for his life, but the frustrated crime boss warned him not to interrupt him, ordering Nico to sink him. In the end, Scotland Yard did not find the illicit account because Feng Yifei salvaged it and traded it to Ronnie in exchange for protection from the Chinese government.

In the early 1990s, the British government engaged in a campaign to crush the Advanced Irish Republican Army, an offshoot of the Provisional IRA. During this campaign, several Met officers were killed by shootings and bombings, including two named Mabel and Sadie. A short time after the Cold War, the Met Police discovered that the extremist group acquired Stinger missiles from American gun runners. The Met prioritized an investigation to stop a potential terrorist attack by the group and seize the weapons. At the same time, the Central Intelligence Agency offered their help to the police to thwart the attack, though the CIA's ulterior motive was to erase any evidence of the CIA's involvement in giving away the Stinger missiles that consequently landed in the hands of the Advanced IRA. Accordingly, one Met Police director had officers Jerry Smith and Emily Thompson go to a London airport to pick up the CIA case officer Eda, who was assigned to help them track down the missiles.

As they traveled, Eda asked if they had any leads, to which Emily answered that they had an informant with a good lead but asserted that they had to return to police headquarters and speak with the director first. Thinking the visit would be unnecessary, Eda recommended that they meet with the informant first. Jerry remained silent as Emily retorted that she could not do whatever she wanted, but the CIA agent rhetorically asked her if she understood the Stinger missiles could be used in a terrorist attack in just one or two days. Subsequently, the three of them went to the informant, who was immediately pushed to the ground by Eda. Grabbing the scared man, Eda demanded to know what he knew about the Advanced IRA's secret weapons ring's shipment from the United States. Jerry ordered her to stop, but she asserted that they were in a hurry, slapping the informant and threatening to injure him further if he refused to talk. Afterward, although the two officers wanted Eda to remain with them, the CIA agent discreetly swiped Jerry's car keys and headed to the site in Gravesend the informant told her about. Jerry and Emily quickly returned to police headquarters, where their director chastised the former for not paying attention. Yelling again, the director ordered them to get moving because they already knew where Eda was headed, adding that they needed to seize both the CIA agent and the illicit weapons. They and several other police officers rushed to the location. On the way to stop her, Jerry drove toward the container yard and emphasized to Emily that they could not let Eda have her way or else the Metropolitan Police would lose face in London. Emily wondered if they would make it in time, making Jerry tell her not to be so pessimistic. To their shock, they saw the smoke from the explosion resulting from an Advanced IRA fighter's grenade detonating near oil drums. Arriving outside the port area with other officers, the speechless Jerry and Emily watched Eda emerge from the scene.

After the incident, the three of them returned to the informant as Eda interrogated him a second time, much to Jerry's chagrin. To his surprise, Eda pulled out her pistol and stuck it against the man's head, causing him to immediately confess he learned his information from Chester Shankly in Watford. Emily chastised Eda for her methods, to which the CIA agent asked what they wanted. While the policewoman declared that they would accompany her to the pub, Jerry, in agreement, yelled that they could not allow her to do whatever she wanted in London especially because of her waving her gun around so casually. He asked if she even had a permit for it and then had her sit in the backseat as he drove for them.

In Watford, as they entered the pub, Chester was shocked to see them and immediately ran out the back door, giving his identity away to the agents. At the door, the law enforcement officers were immediately pinned down by continuous gunfire from Cillian McGrath, the Advanced IRA's second-in-command. Realizing that it was an ambush, Eda asked the two officers to give her suppressive fire. Accordingly, Jerry and Emily covered for her as she shot at a couple of them. As Eda engaged in combat with Cillian, Jerry defeated the other fighters and covered for Emily as she ordered the Advanced IRA commander to freeze. However, Eda prevented her from aiming at him because she needed him alive, allowing him to escape. Angered, Emily shouted at Eda for allowing him to escape given his group's involvement in killing Met officers. Eda bluntly replied that she should not let personal vengeance blind her mission. Although Jerry advised Emily to calm down, he also criticized the "Yankee" for being out of line.

The next day, Jerry and the two women departed from New Scotland Yard, with Eda complaining that the former's meetings with police superiors seemed to be a waste of time. At that point, the CIA agent spotted a shady man exiting their car, startling him. Eda grabbed Jerry and Emily and yelled at them to get down, ducking as the car bomb detonated. As the smoke quickly cleared, Eda got up and pursued the fleeing perpetrator. Shielding Emily, Jerry got up and asked if she was all right. She confirmed but admitted that her ear hurt, and they saw Eda up ahead. The two officers walked up to her to help her out after she disarmed the man, and she casually confirmed that the man, Morton, was indeed an Advanced IRA member. Alleging that Morton was merely a diversion, she relayed to the police officers that the Advanced IRA's next attack would supposedly happen at an air force base with the Stinger missiles involved, bewildering the officers.

The British government swiftly responded by having the air base halt all takeoffs and landings, also giving the police and military time to mobilize against a potential attack. Jerry drove for the three officers to raid the hideout, and he like Emily was angered that Eda kept the location details a secret since she had her own motivations for stopping the bombing. He asked to where they were going, so the CIA agent explained that the hideout was a few kilometers south of the air base. Soon driving into a neighborhood, Jerry asked Eda if they were close to the destination. Hearing her confirmation, Emily noted that the number of houses narrowed down their search field. Eda spotted the house and pointed out that it was most likely the place given that it faced the base, their window was open, and an unusual minivan was parked in the driveway. Though the CIA agent ordered Emily to run the minivan's license plate, Jerry professed that it would be unnecessary since he recognized the area code being Liverpool. Agreeing that was suspicious enough, Eda suggested that they pull around the street corner and split into two groups.

As they walked up to the house, Jerry and Emily agreed to take the front while Eda snuck around the back. At the front door, Jerry knocked but received no response, so Emily grasped onto the doorknob. Immediately, the Advanced IRA extremists shot a barrage of bullets through the door, forcing the officers to take cover. Inside, meanwhile, Eda and Cillian quickly clashed, causing the latter to urge Advanced IRA leader Michael Connolly to escape. Michael jumped out the window and onto the ground, but Jerry spotted him as he began fleeing. Jerry adamantly ordered Emily to pursue him despite her hesitancy so that the Advanced IRA leader did not escape. While Eda engaged in a gunfight with Cillian, Jerry successfully fought against the remaining IRA subordinates, and Emily pursued Michael in a short chase.

She managed to shoot him when he was reloading his pistol, but before she could arrest the extremist leader, he pulled out another pistol. Whereas he merely grazed her cheek with one shot, Emily was faster and shot him in the head, killing him. The exhausted Jerry rested against a wall after having killed the extremists, and Emily returned to the scene to confirm she ended Michael's life, making the two agree that their fight was over. In the other room, they heard a single gunshot which was Cillian killing himself to prevent Eda from interrogating him. Rushing into the room, the two Met officers were disgusted to see the man's corpse, though their mission was complete as they had thwarted the attack and retrieved the Stinger missiles in the house.

Once the Metropolitan Police had successfully destroyed the Advanced IRA, they concluded their collaboration with the CIA. However, the British police gave intel to Eda concerning phone calls made to the United States by Chloe Reddington, wife of Michael Connolly, about negotiations for trafficking illicit firearms. The British police set up a meeting to discuss further action because the gun runners who gave weapons to the group were still at large. In the meeting, Jerry remained silent and listened to Emily relay to Eda the details of the potential arms deal. Briefing Eda on her next step, she clarified that they would pose as Michael's messenger to Chloe and then contact the American smuggling ring by posing as Chloe. On the day of the disguised contact, during Eda's mission of posing as Chloe, Emily and Jerry waited in a van nearby. The latter teased his partner for her lack of faith in Eda's capability, which Emily angrily denied.

At that point, they saw Eda returning to the van, and to their surprise she informed them that she got a meeting set up in New York. Afterward, the three headed to an airport for Eda's departure from London. Emily sincerely thanked Eda for everything and professed she was glad they thwarted the airbase attack and effectively destroyed the Advanced IRA. Before bidding goodbye to the police officers, Eda claimed she had a present for Emily and put it in her chest pocket. Jerry was curious as to what it was, and Emily was puzzled upon discovering the "present" was Eda's expired ticket to the interleague game between the Padres and Angels.
