Our Day Will Come Part 2 is the thirty-third chapter of the Black Lagoon spinoff series Eda Initial Stage. It was originally released on December 19, 2024.

Returning inside his apartment after walking his dog Quinn, Cillian McGrath fills the dog's food bowl and asks the animal how it is feeling, remarking that Ms. Abbott and her daughter really seem to like the dog. Relaxing with Quinn on his couch, Cillian informs his pet that Ian died, recalling in a light mood that it was really hard to feed the dog after Ian once bought fancy dog food for him. Seeing his dog look at him, the disheartened man admits that he misses Ian too. He then uses his telephone and places a call, requesting to speak to Michael. Elsewhere, Eda returns to an informant's hangout and interrogates him a second time, much to Jerry Smith and Emily Thompson's chagrin. The man pleads with her to stop hurting him, repeating that he does not know anything else beyond what he heard, saying that he is not trying to set her up. Irked, Eda replies that is why she needs to know who gave him that information. She smirks and claims that she will make him confess the hard way if he refuses to speak, so she pulls out her pistol and aims it as his head, worrying Emily.

The informant immediately confesses that he learned it from Chester Shankly, a man who hangs out in Watford at a pub called Whelan's. Emily chastises Eda for her methods, to which the CIA agent asks what she wants. The former asserts that she and Jerry will accompany her to the pub. Jerry agrees that they cannot allow her to do whatever she wants in London especially because of her waving her gun around so casually, asking if she even has a permit for it. As the two London police officers drive for her, Eda remembers her earlier phone call with Ravencroft after she finished showering. Ravencroft advised her not to be so careless, referring to her gunfight at the port warehouse in Gravesend. Eda retorted that there was no other way to get information since she was by herself. Nonetheless, Ravencroft emphasized that their primary mission is to retrieve the Stinger missiles whereas dealing with the terrorists is secondary. Affirming that she could do it, Eda finished the call and reconvened with the officers.

Arriving at the pub in Watford, the three of them head inside, and Emily asks Eda to be careful, annoying the American once again. As they enter the pub, Chester is shocked to see them and immediately runs out the back door, giving his identity away to the agents. As Emily runs out the door, she is forced back inside a second later when Cillian's continuous gunfire blocks their path. Realizing that it is an ambush, Eda asks the two officers to give her suppressive fire. Eda jump rolls across the alley and takes cover behind the opposite corner. Spotting a gunman on a far away roof behind Eda, Emily warns her and shoots the terrorist, surprising the unaware Eda. The CIA agent begins to wonder where Cillian is upon not seeing him hide behind a van anymore. Hearing a door pushed open behind her, Eda turns around and instinctively charges her shoulder into Cillian's abdomen before he can fire. The two begin to struggle and miss their first shots. Eda takes aim at him after she pushes his arm away, but Cillian kicks her pistol out of her hand.

However, she grabs his exposed foot and pushes it upward to upset his balance, punching him in the face. Cillian dodges Eda's second punch and backs away, complimenting her combat skills. Eda likewise commends his endurance but they are interrupted by Emily ordering Cillian to stay still. Refusing to do so, Cillian bids goodbye to the CIA agent and runs to a fence, which he jumps over. Though Emily takes aim at him, Eda blocks her line of sight and rhetorically asks what she is thinking. Angered, Emily yells that she could have killed the Advanced IRA's second-in-command, an action which Eda chastises because they need such a high-ranking person alive to get information and discover where the Stinger missiles are. Emily demands to know what information she even wants, to which Eda says it is none of her business. Asking the officer why she cares about killing Cillian, she shouts that Cillian and the AIRA's leader, Michael Connolly, have killed a lot of people, including her colleagues Mabel and Sadie. Scoffing at her motivation, Eda bluntly tells her that she should not try to play hero and let personal vengeance blind her mission. Although Jerry advises Emily to calm down, he also criticizes the "Yankee" for being out of line.

At an AIRA hideout, Michael finishes a phone call with an associate and asks them to bring in their cargo as planned since its presence is confirmed. Walking into the office, Cillian complains that his mission was essentially acting as a decoy to lure out the police. Ignoring the complaint, Michael says he is disappointed that Cillian could not kill the agents, especially the American among them. Apologizing for it, Cillian reasons that she was tougher than expected, but Michael responds it does not matter since they need to plan their next move. Later at a pub, Eda, Emily and Jerry get some drinks. As Emily goes to the counter, Eda requests Jerry to remove the girl from the mission due to her annoyance. Jerry rhetorically asks why she would insult the same person who saved her, adding that he has trust in Emily and thinks CIA agents do not know any better. He professes that he does not take orders from Eda, who tells him he can tell that to his boss. Jerry mutters that she really is a CIA agent after all given her attitude, confusing Eda since she claims there is nothing else one could see in her.

Returning to the table, Emily asks what they are talking about, with Jerry relaying to her that Eda dislikes her. Not offended, Emily retorts that she is not trying to be liked, asserting that she cannot let Eda mess up their investigation any further, especially because she is a member of the Stinger tracking team. Impatient with both officers, Eda mentions that she merely wants to get her job over with so that she can go to the Padres game, drinking down her entire glass of alcohol. Waving goodbye, the CIA agent leaves the pub. Baffled, Emily wonders why she was acting weird while Jerry is confused about their drinking habits. He posits that Eda and the CIA may have another agenda other than tracking the Stinger. Not concerned, Emily comments that their primary focus is to stop the AIRA terrorists. At night, Cillian visits Ms. Abbott and her young daughter, his two neighbors. Abbott asks him if he is going on a business trip again, which he confirms. Giving them his dog, he asks them to take care of him for a while, also giving them money for the dog's food as well as to compensate them for their time. When she asks if the trip will be long, Cillian posits it probably will, and he kneels down and tells Quinn to be a "good boy."

The next day, Eda, Emily and Jerry depart from New Scotland Yard, with Eda complaining that the latter's meetings with police superiors seem to be a waste of time. Emily agrees but asks Eda to at least follow the office rules. At that point, Eda spots a shady man exiting their car, startling him. Eda grabs Jerry and Emily and yells at them to get down, ducking as the car bomb detonates. As the smoke quickly clears, Eda gets up and sees the perpetrator running away. Taking aim, she fires one shot and hits the terrorist in the right knee, knocking him onto the ground. Running up to him, Eda pushes her heel into the man's wound and demands to know the time and location of the next terrorist attack. As the man screams, he only smirks at her, angering her enough to twist her heel into the wound again. Covering Emily, Jerry gets up and asks if she is all right. She confirms but mentions that her ear hurts, and she sees Eda up ahead. The two officers walk up to her to help her out, and she casually confirms that the man is indeed an AIRA member.

Alleging that the man is merely a diversion, she relays to them that the AIRA's next attack will supposedly happen at an air force base with the Stinger missiles involved. Bewildered, Emily wonders how she even got that information from him. Eda responds that he is just a blabbermouth, to which the officers joke that he is quite the cooperative bomber. Leaving the area, Eda tells them to forget their sarcasm and prepare to depart. Confused, the two officers agree but are left speechless at the ordeal. Meanwhile, elsewhere in the country, Cillian, Michael and a few other AIRA members wait on the side of a road in a rural area. As they watch their delivery van arrive, Cillian remembers Eda's face and thinks to himself that he will best her in combat the next time. Michael recommends that they leave but notices Cillian's face and wonders if he is happy. Smiling, the second-in-command confirms and adds that he is even excited.
