Our Day Will Come Part 1 is the thirty-second chapter of the Black Lagoon spinoff series Eda Initial Stage. It was originally released on November 19, 2024.

At night, as several men engage in an illicit arms deal, ATF agents barge into the room and order everyone to surrender. The criminals start shooting at them, though the agents quickly dispatch a few of the men. Cillian McGrath and Ian run out of the building and jump onto a motorboat and speed across the water, evading the ATF agents. The agent Dent orders his associates to call the local police, and Cillian wonders if there was an undercover agent among the arms dealers. The criminal asks Ian if he is all right, but he is extremely distraught to see that Ian has been fatally shot in the abdomen. Ian falsely assures Cillian that his wound is a mere scratch, but Cillian screams his name in grief. On the coast, one ATF agent asks Dent if the suspects got away, but Dent only says that he is certain the man he saw was Cillian McGrath, the second-in-command of the Advanced Irish Republican Army (AIRA). The latter assesses that McGrath must be having a hard time if he came all the way to the U.S. to buy firearms.

The next day, waiting on an airplane, Eda reads the report for her next mission. She recalls her conversation about the matter with Ravencroft, who briefed her on their target and objective. In the U.S. at the time, Ravencroft told Eda that the Provisional IRA in recent years procured weapons mainly from Libya, but Gaddafi had refrained from further shipments. With the North Africa route cut off, the IRA members planned on procuring firearms in the U.S. instead. He mentioned that the AIRA, which was responsible for the smuggling operation, is one of the IRA's most radical offshoots. The recent deal was uncovered by an undercover ATF agent who infiltrated a group of arms dealers. Despite the agents having killed most of the criminals, the important part of the deal had already commenced, which were Stinger missiles sent to London.

Explicating that it got worse, Ravencroft stated that a surviving arms dealer testified about the history of the missiles landing in the wrong hands. Specifically, the missiles were unofficially intended to be given by the CIA to the Afghan mujahideen in the late 1980s. However, the weapons were diverted and used to terrorize the West. Ravencroft emphasized that such a serious scandal could not be overlooked because the CIA's existence was already being questioned as a result of the end of the Cold War. He added that they must avoid repeating the Iran–Contra affair since the media and investigative committees would not remain silent if the blunder was exposed. Accordingly, he ordered Eda to confirm the veracity of the testimony and erase any evidence of it if it is true. Putting the report aside, Eda looks at her ticket to an interleague game between the San Diego Padres and the Anaheim Angels, happy that she managed to acquire one. She tells herself that she will finish her new case as soon as possible so that she can see Tony Gwynn play. Once she lands in London, Eda arrives at the airport's international arrivals terminal and sees two Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) officers, Jerry Smith and Emily Thompson.

The two officers introduce themselves, with Emily clarifying that they are working with her to track down the Stinger missiles as a pursuit team. Eda is amused and asks why a schoolgirl like her is working for Scotland Yard, to which Jerry says that Emily is an excellent detective who graduated at the top of her class at the police academy. Getting into their car, Jerry likewise claims he is surprised too since the CIA sent a young woman like Eda on such an important case. Nonetheless, he clarifies that his surprise is a compliment. When Eda asks if they have any leads, Emily answers that they have an informant with a good lead but asserts that they have to return to police headquarters and speak with the director first. Thinking the visit would be unnecessary, Eda recommends that they meet with the informant first, but Emily retorts that she cannot do whatever she wants. Glaring at the young officer, the CIA agent rhetorically asks her if she understands that the Stinger missiles could be used in a terrorist attack in just one or two days.

Subsequently, the three of them go to the informant, who is immediately pushed to the ground by Eda. Grabbing the scared man, Eda demands to know what he knows about the AIRA's secret weapons ring's shipment from the U.S., though he frantically asks Emily why she is letting Eda harm him. Jerry orders her to stop, but she asserts that they are in a hurry, slapping the informant several times and threatening to cause more injuries if he refuses to talk. Elsewhere in the country, Cillian McGrath enters a building and asks a comrade where Michael is, learning that his boss is in a meeting. Cillian walks into the office and casually sits down, prompting Michael to finish up his talk with the other two young men quickly. In a downcast mood, Cillian remarks that there are more young people around whom he has not seen before. Michael commends him for making the package arrive safely, though he notices Cillian's sad expression. Hearing his subordinate mention that Ian died, he offers his condolences and informs Cillian that the young men told him an American agent is coming after the Stinger.

Cillian asks if the agent is ATF, though Michael admits he is unsure, adding that the agent could also either be with the FBI or CIA. Not too worried, Michael states they will only have to deal with a few of them at most and mainly have to watch for the London police. To his leader's confusion, Cillian asks him for how long he will keep sending young men to their deaths. Angered at the question, Michael leans over his shoulder and in turn claims he cannot believe a brave man like Cillian actually asked him that. Yelling at him, he shouts that they will never stop fighting no matter how much blood is spilled or how many corpses they lay down until they see the day of a united Ireland. Calming down, Michael assures Cillian he understands his sadness about Ian, proclaiming that Ian's death and the deaths of their brothers and sisters cannot be in vain. Shouting that they will drive the Brits out of Ireland, he quiets down again and advises Cillian to go home and let Quinn comfort him, reminding him that he is probably tired after having just returned from the United States. With that, Cillian leaves and does not say a word.

Later, at New Scotland Yard, Jerry and Emily speak with their director, who chastises the former for not noticing sooner that Eda swiped his car keys and left them behind. Emily responds that they know the CIA agent is headed for a port warehouse in Gravesend. Yelling again, the director orders them to get moving if they already knew that, adding that they need to seize both the CIA agent and the illicit weapons. On the way to stop her, Jerry compares Eda to a pompous Joan of Arc, though Emily disagrees and compares her to the American outlaw Belle Starr. At the warehouse port, Eda stops the car right in the middle of the container yard. As she exits the vehicle, several armed, masked men take positions as one guerrilla comes out and warns Eda to stop. The man calls her stupid because she came alone and let her "Yankee arrogance" control her ego. Declaring that they will make an example out of her, the guerrilla claims he does not care that she is a woman and will pump her full of bullets and display her corpse on Tower Bridge for all to see. Immediately shooting and killing the man, Eda comments that she is tired of the "brain-dead ape" and his sermons.

In response, the other guerrillas begin shooting at her from multiple directions, causing Eda to run away and shoot back, successfully hitting some of the guerrillas. Taking cover, one surviving fighter pulls out a grenade and attempts to throw it, but Eda shoots him. However, the live grenade falls near some oil drums, making Eda panic as a huge explosion happens seconds later. On the road, Jerry speeds toward the container yard and assesses that they cannot let Eda have her way or else the Metropolitan Police will lose face in London. Emily wonders if they will make it in time, making Jerry tell her not to be so pessimistic. The female officer sees the smoke from the explosion and points it out, shocking Jerry as well. Arriving outside the port area with other police officers, Jerry and Emily are shocked at the sheer damage of the explosion. Walking away from the battle unharmed, Eda smokes a cigarette and mutters that the fighters were nothing more than hillbilly pawns. Smiling, she additionally mutters that she can get back to the States in time to see the Padres game if she finishes her mission soon.
