Black Lagoon: The Story · Do You Remember? (ブラック・ラグーン 話・おぼえてますか？編 Hanashi oboetemasu ka? Hen) is the ninth Black Lagoon omake. It was originally released in the tenth manga volume on May 19, 2014.

In a magical girl outfit, Dutch happily introduces himself to Revy and Rock, who are greatly baffled. Rock asks if he has a ponytail, and Dutch addresses them as his "mascots" and asks them to join him in helping the poor and unwashed with their magical powers. Revy angrily retorts that she is not his mascot, and Rock wonders what is going on. Stroking her chin, Revy guesses that the author forgot the character settings due to the time in between volumes. Interrupting them, a child Balalaika, dressed in an oversized VDV uniform, proclaims that the settings have always been like this. As Revy and Rock watch in complete shock, Balalaika claims that she is the leader of the secret society Bougainvillea, encouraging them to join her in reviving the Soviet Union with her robot Boris. Suddenly, someone on a cliff above them yells at Balalaika to stop. Jumping down, he kicks the child in the face, surprising Rock and Revy, who realize that he is Benny.

In a proud stance, Captain Benny introduces himself as a man who fights evil across the seven seas. Although Rock and Revy wonder if he is a fighter archetype, Benny sits down and opens his laptop, rejecting their assumption and telling them that he is a programmer. Distraught at the settings, Revy urges Rock to leave elsewhere. Seeing other characters, the two notice that Mister Chang is a comic strip version of himself, Hänsel and Gretel appear genuinely horrifying, Yukio Washimine is a shōjo character despite being killed off, and Garcia Lovelace latches onto a naked Roberta, the last story change of which especially freaks out the two pirates. Grasping onto Rock's necktie, Revy yells that they are destroying the manga and asks Rock what they will do. With a discomforted face, Rock proposes in earnest that they will stick with the character settings in volume 11, leaving Revy speechless.
