At a café, agents L'index and L'annulaire tell L'auriculaire about the previous feud between Le Pouce and Le Majeur due to the botched operation in Nigeria. Elsewhere in Roanapur, Rock takes Revy with him to see Mister Chang at the Hot River Film Company for intel about the recent murders of Black men in town. He directs them to visit Jinx in the hospital, telling the two Lagoon Company pirates that he will send them some help soon.
