While decrypting the Annenheim Distributions data on a laptop in the Jackpot Pigeons dressing room, Feng Yifei asks Rock why he feels held back by his debacle with the Venezuelan boy, but Rock claims that he already got over it. Feng replies that she needs to know if they are temporarily depending on each other, but Rock says that it does not matter. The two then talk to each other about heroism in the criminal world and how Rock wanted closure from the affair concerning Roberta and Garcia. Feng disagrees with Rock's view that he did not receive anything from helping Garcia, saying that his reward was being able to continue living his life free of restrictions and morals in Roanapur. Opening a can of beer, Feng elaborates that she wants the same freedom he has, although she reminds him that freedom can be chaotic and all choices, as well as the subsequent responsibilities and consequences, belong to oneself as a result.
