Plot
At Shenhua's place, Sawyer the Cleaner and Lotton play a video game with each other when Shenhua comes home, proclaiming that she is hungry. Turning around, the two misfits blankly look at her, and the three head out. While walking through an alleyway, they wonder if there is even a food shop in the area that is open all night. Suddenly, Shenhua detects an unfamiliar smell and follows it, coming across a curry shop. The three enter and wait at the counter, with Shenhua claiming that the food smells like a type of curry that she has never tried before. Hearing her rule out the possibility of it being Southeast Asian or Indian, the chef tells her that it is Japanese curry. He tells them that the curry he had in Japan was quite good, so he attempted to recreate the taste when he returned home. He adds that he experimented with whatever ingredients he could acquire and finally concocted his current recipe. The three of them look at the bowl of curry and are irked by the smell, but the chef encourages them to try it since they will be surprised. With their spoons, the three freelancers try one bite each. Shenhua and Lotton are immediately shocked while Sawyer slowly eats another bite.
Although she sweats, Shenhua is surprised at its taste and fiercely compliments its deliciousness. She begins gulping down more curry and asks Sawyer if she knew about the store. As he cooks some more food, the chef states that he is indebted to Sawyer for procuring the particular ingredients. Both women begin to sweat more, though Sawyer only eats a little while Shenhua continues to gulp down more. The Taiwanese woman asks what was added to make it taste so great, but the chef, whose stew has a skull-like face on the surface, responds that it is a secret. As they continue eating, several shadowy people enter the store, and Shenhua remarks that she feels a little nervous and soon notices the crowdedness. Lotton stops eating and looks to his right, noticing that the people around them have skulls for heads. As he remains shocked at their appearance, Shenhua thinks that one of the shadowy figures looks familiar. Grinning, the apparition claims that he was turned into namasu a while back thanks to them. The chef's stew is shown to have human bones in it, and it is revealed that the restaurant is called Witch Pot Curry. The people begin laughing throughout the night, and Shenhua eats more yet again.
The next day, back at her place, Shenhua recalls how tasty the Japanese curry was, commenting that she cannot find the location of the store or remember much about it. She asks Sawyer if she remembers anything, but the goth girl shakes her head. Guessing that the store is closed, the dismayed Shenhua expresses her desire to eat it again. Smiling, Rock tells her that he recently got some Japanese roux, offering to make some for them. Sawyer raises her hand in agreement and Shenhua enthusiastically cheers, but Lotton silently refuses to try any. The wizard watches them try the roux, but they discover that it is bland compared to the curry they previously had, disappointing the women.
